Here I go. I'm leaving this afternoon for Edinburgh, Scotland. I am going with my school to perform our folk-rock dream version of Alice in Wonderland with bunkaru puppets. We are performing at the Bedlam Theatre which is prestigious, but I am more concerned that it was in fact once an insane asylum. (Which seems fitting for the bunch I am going with.)
Here are the things I am pumped about doing:
Seeing Jason Robert Brown musicals performed by the English
A whisky tour that includes a barrel ride (like the Frog and Toad ride) and animatronics
A day tour in which I will visit Nessie, Queen Mary's childhood estate, the William Wallace monument and famous Scotland nature sites.
Seeing a real Georgian house with real Georgian decor
Experiencing Mary King's Close, an underground city where Mr. Boots still roams the alleys
And castles, castles galore.
all my love

fresh start
Fall and Spring are really miraculous seasons. We get to witness so much change around us and each year brings something different from the year before. It is a great gift that we can also change with the seasons, not to say our attempt will be perfect or that the past is forgotten, but we can make great strides. I truly love that about life, I am so grateful that no matter what I can always try to be better, do better, live better. Not all creatures are so fortunate.
Whenever I come home to Oceanside, I always gain a new outlook. I was already gaining a new perspective when Jane Seymour capped it with her words on the View.
it's about giving love and receiving love, that's it, that's all it is about. spend your time on the relationships you choose to build on and grow with.
have an open heart, an open heart can't stay broken that long.
Now, I realize this was fluffy, but damn I needed some fluff - Oprah's been on reruns too long.

It's time to graduate already and get on with it.
How quickly one can forget how trying it is to be friends with someone in a drama department. You can connect and forge bonds that feel unbreakable, but when casting time comes around, all of a sudden competition rears it's ugly head. I've officially learned my lesson: keep your mouth shut, prepare yourself, and talk to people outside of the department when things don't go your way.

- I am the brown eyed girl from the song. I'm full of conceited independence. I love my friends so I wised up and became fiercly loyal. I'm a southern social butterfly who also enjoys time to herself. Life is the great adventure and love is in the details.
